The Chase Ink Business Unlimited is a business credit card that offers 1.5% unlimited cash back, a 12-month 0% intro APR period, and a $750 welcome bonus. And for no annual fee, this Chase business credit card offer is one of the most competitive on the market.
In this Chase Ink Business Unlimited review, we’ll cover its features, pros and cons, and provide you with some alternatives if you decide the Chase Ink Unlimited isn’t what you’re looking for.
$750 Cash Back
Beyond the intro APR period, you’ll also be able to access a welcome bonus with the Ink Unlimited.
All you’ll have to do is spend $6,000 within your first three months after opening your Ink Unlimited account, and you’ll earn a solid $750 cash back.
12 Months of 0% APR
As previously mentioned, the Chase Ink Business Unlimited is a 0% APR card for the first 12 months of your contract.
This means that, as long as you make your minimum monthly payments on time, you’ll be able to carry a balance from month to month without accumulating a cent of interest. Be sure to note that this intro APR will only apply to purchases and not balance transfers.
After your first 12 months with the Chase Ink Business Unlimited, though, your APR will set in at a rate that will depend on your creditworthiness and the market Prime Rate, so be sure to check the issuer’s terms and conditions to get the latest APR information.
Unlimited 1.5% Cash Back
As you spend with the Ink Unlimited, you’ll continue to earn rewards even beyond the intro perk this card offers.
In fact, you’ll never stop earning rewards, because the cash back you’ll earn with the Chase Ink Business Unlimited is—you guessed it—unlimited.
You’ll get a flat 1.5% cash back for every dollar you spend with this card, no matter what you spend on and no matter how much you spend.
Your rewards will come in the form of Chase Ultimate Rewards points, which are worth $0.01 each when redeemed as cash back. These points can be redeemed in the following ways:
What’s more, you can combine your rewards points with rewards points in other Chase accounts.
3% Per Transaction
If you travel a lot for business, you should be aware that the Chase Ink Business Unlimited comes with a foreign transaction fee.
For purchases made outside of the U.S., you’ll pay a 3% transaction fee. While this isn’t particularly high, it can add an extra chunk of change to your credit card bill.
Unlimited Employee Cards at No Extra Cost
If you run a business where you need employees to be able to make purchases and expense things, the Chase Ink Business Unlimited offers you a very good deal.
You can equip your employees with a Chase Business Unlimited card at no additional cost. What’s more, there is no limit to the amount of cards you can have in use. Just make sure you can pay off the total amount being spent on all your cards at the end of the month.
Enjoy Purchase Protection, Extended Warranties, and Rental Car Coverage
Outside of the ongoing rewards program, using a Chase Ink Business Unlimited card also affords you some other useful benefits.
You’ll get purchase protection on all purchases, as well as an extended warranty. This means that if an eligible purchase breaks down, you may be able to get a reimbursement from Chase for the cost of replacing it.
The Chase Ink Business Unlimited also comes with rental car protection, allowing you to decline the rental car company’s collision insurance and be covered by Chase in the event of an accident.
$0
The Chase Ink Business Unlimited card has no annual fee. You’ll be able to earn unlimited cash back for no extra cost at all. Plus, you’ll be able to attach unlimited employee cards to your Ink Unlimited account for no additional fees, which will mean that much more cash back to be earned from your team’s spending.
We should also mention that the Chase Ink Business Unlimited has some fairly laid-back qualification standards. While you’ll still need a minimum credit score of around 660 to qualify, Chase will grant credit cards to more non-traditional businesses, such as granting business cards for freelancers and cards for ecommerce businesses.
First and perhaps most importantly, Chase won’t cap the amount of cash back you’ll be able to earn at 1.5% cash back.
Now, this is pretty rare for a business credit card—most will put a limit on how much spend you can earn for at a rate above 1% cash back.
Not with the Chase Ink Business Unlimited. The sky’s the limit with the value you’ll be able to eke out of your business spending if you choose to do it with this cash back card.
Even more, the flat cash back rate you’ll be able to access with the Chase Ink Business Unlimited could seriously simplify your life.
No longer will you have to devote brainpower to making sure you’re optimizing your cash back rewards with rotating or tiered rewards. With the Chase Business Ink Unlimited’s 1.5% cash back rate, you’ll be optimizing your business spend, every single time.
Plus, if most of your business spending involves non-traditional business expenses, this 1.5% cash back could be much more valuable for your spend than other tiered rewards programs that will only reward typical business expenses like office supplies or fuel.
Not to mention, you won’t have to pay for the cash back you’ll earn for spending with the Chase Ink Business Unlimited.
Many business credit cards will try to temper the value you access through their rewards programs by hitting you with annual fees—otherwise, many of them wouldn’t be profitable for the issuer.
However, Chase has made the Chase Business Unlimited—even with its unlimited cash back rewards—completely fee-free.
As a result, you won’t have to worry whether or not you’re earning enough cash back to recoup this card’s cost. As long as you spend responsibly, then you’ll only be earning with the Chase Ink Business Unlimited.
A detail that could be a serious upside for certain business owners is that the Ink Unlimited offers a 12-month 0% intro APR period for purchases. This feature is huge if you need to make a big purchase for your business that you can pay down gradually, since you won’t accumulate any interest on that purchase during the intro period.
If you’re already spending with a tiered rewards card—like the Ink Cash, for instance—we’d suggest getting the Chase Ink Business Unlimited as the ultimate complement for this kind of card.
That’s because tiered rewards will offer you high rewards rates for certain purchases, but only 1% rewards for everything else.
So, we suggest you get the Chase Business Ink Unlimited and put that “everything else” on this card. This way, you’ll be earning a minimum of 1.5% cash back for every dollar you spend on your business. And that cash back will add up quickly.
Sure, the flat-rate cash back rewards system that the Chase Ink Business Unlimited offers is certainly a big perk for business owners who don’t spend on typical business expenses.
However, if you’re spending a lot on office supplies, fuel, advertisement, shipping, or any other typical small business expense, then you’ll be able to earn upward of 5% cash back for these expenses with a tiered rewards card.
Put simply, if you’re making a lot of traditional purchases, the Chase Ink Business Unlimited won’t be the business credit card option with the most lucrative points system for you.
Though the fact that the Chase Ink Business Unlimited has a 0% intro APR period is certainly an upside to choosing this card, this rate doesn’t apply to balance transfers.
Other business credit cards can offer you a 12-month 0% APR period on both purchases and balance transfers, so if you’re specifically looking for a better deal on both, know that you have other options besides the Ink Unlimited.

If you’re looking for more rewards than the Chase Ink Business Unlimited can offer, consider the Capital One® Spark® Cash for Business card. With this card, you’ll earn an unlimited 2% cash back on all purchases, as opposed to the 1.5% offered by Chase.
Capital One also provides a welcome offer, although you’ll have to spend more to get it than you would with the Ink Unlimited card. Through Capital One’s offer, you can earn a one-time $500 cash bonus once you spend $4,500 on purchases within 3 months from account opening.
Keep in mind that the Capital One Spark Cash for Business card also comes with a price tag. While you’ll get your first year free, every year thereafter that you use this card, you’ll have to pay a $95 fee.

If you’re looking for low fees and comparable rewards, consider the Amex Blue Business Plus card. With this card, you’ll get a 12-month 0% APR. Similar to the Chase Ink Business Unlimited card, you’ll also never have to pay a monthly fee.
However, unlike the Chase Ink Business Unlimited, the 0% APR period applies to both balance transfers and purchases. (Note that, as with other 0% intro APR cards, after that first year, a variable APR rate will set in at market Prime Rate, so check the terms of your contract for the latest APR information.)
What’s more, you get a higher rewards rate with this Amex card than you do with Chase: 2x points for every dollar you spend. However, that 2x rate is limited to your first $50,000 in purchases. After that, you’ll earn 1x point for every dollar you spend with the card.
Also keep in mind that this card does not come with a welcome offer outside the 0% intro APR.
